Air Conditioning Repair in Tampa, FL and Across Tampa Bay
Searching for AC repair near me at ten at night because the house will not cool down? This is the number you want. Air Mavericks is a local air conditioning repair company based in Largo, Florida, and we run AC repair services across Pinellas, Hillsborough and Manatee County every day of the year, including nights, weekends and holidays, at the same flat rate. Most of what we see is repair work rather than replacement: a capacitor that failed in the heat, a contactor that will not pull in, a clogged drain line that tripped the float switch, or a refrigerant leak. Our NATE certified techs carry the parts that fail most often, a large share of calls are fixed on the first visit, and you get the full price before any work starts.

Signs You Need AC Repair in Tampa Bay
Knowing when to call for air conditioning repair saves you time and money. In Florida heat a small fault turns into a dead system fast, and a dead system on a Sunday costs more than a Tuesday diagnosis. If you are typing AC repair near me into your phone right now, check your system against this list first. These are the calls we run every day across Tampa Bay.
- 🔌AC not turning on at all: The thermostat is calling for cool and nothing happens. Usually a tripped breaker, a failed capacitor, a burned contactor, or a float switch that shut the system down because the drain line is clogged.
- 🔥Blowing warm air: The fan runs but the air coming out is warm. Most often low refrigerant from a leak, a compressor that is not engaging, or an outdoor unit that has stopped running entirely.
- 🌡️Running constantly without cooling: The system runs and runs but never reaches the temperature you set. Common causes are a dirty coil, a restricted filter, leaking ductwork, or a system that is undercharged.
- ❄️Ice on the lines or the coil: Ice means an airflow or refrigerant problem. Shut the system off and let it thaw before you call, because running it frozen can take out the compressor and turn a repair into a replacement.
- 💧Water around the air handler: Almost always a clogged condensate drain. Left alone it backs up into drywall and flooring, and that repair costs far more than the one you called about.
- 🔊Loud noises or short cycling: Grinding, buzzing, rattling, or a system that starts and stops every few minutes. These are early warnings that something is worn or failing, and they do not fix themselves.
If your air conditioner is doing any of these, have it looked at now rather than after it quits completely. Call (727) 870-9692 for same day AC repair across Pinellas, Hillsborough and Manatee County, or use the form at the top of the page and we will call you back.

4.9 Stars Across 1,100+ Google Reviews
Not a handful of testimonials. Over eleven hundred Tampa Bay homeowners and businesses have rated Air Mavericks, and the average is 4.9.
"I called Air Mavericks after 5:30pm and they not only answered the phone but had a technician at my house in less than an hour. Cristian was very knowledgeable and professional and all my issues were resolved smoothly quickly. Very reasonable and I highly recommend them."
"The technician was awesome, explained to me what was wrong, showed me what I could do to keep my unit clean from leaves and other debris. Called around noon and my issue was resolved before 3pm the same day!! I was so happy to have my AC working in such short time!"
"Great service! AC went out at our store on the beach in the morning, they fit us into the schedule early afternoon same day! Josh was able to not only get it working, he figured out what was causing the drain problem we've had over the years and fixed it so it doesn't happen again. The previous company we used says that they have same day 24/7 emergency service but couldn't fit us in until the next afternoon. Air Mavericks has certainly earned our business and we highly recommend."
"I cannot recommend them enough. They are one of the first companies that have provided me with an honest upfront and transparent response for my issues. Instead of trying to sell me on the replacement, they took the time to check out my system and realized that it was a simple fix. They spent a few hours making sure that my system was in fact fixed long term while saving me thousands of dollars."
"Top Tier AC Service Experience. We specifically requested Josh from Air Mavericks because of his exceptional service. Having worked with him previously, we knew he provides excellent customer service. He accurately diagnosed the issue and promptly fixed our AC. Honest work. Honest prices. We will recommend to friends and family."
"Alex was absolutely fantastic! He came out to repair our air conditioning unit and was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly throughout the entire process. Not only did he get everything up and running quickly, but he also took the time to come back and perform maintenance on the unit to help keep it running for a few more years. He explained everything clearly, was honest about our options, and never made us feel pressured."
Air Conditioning Repair Questions We Get Every Day
If your question is not here, call (727) 870-9692 and ask. We answer 24 hours a day.
How fast can you get someone out for AC repair?
Most calls get a same day appointment. We answer the phone 24 hours a day, so if your AC quits at nine at night you are talking to a person, not a voicemail box. Call (727) 870-9692 and we will tell you the next available window.
What does a service call cost?
The service call is $89 and it is waived when you approve the repair, so a visit that turns into a fix costs you nothing extra. You see the full price of the repair before any work starts.
Do you charge more at night or on weekends?
No. The rate is the same flat rate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including nights, weekends and holidays. Your AC failing on a Sunday should not cost more than the same failure on a Tuesday.
Should I repair my AC or replace it?
It depends on the age of the system, what failed, and what the repair costs against a replacement. We repair whatever is worth repairing and we will show you the numbers rather than lead with a replacement quote. Our techs carry the parts that fail most often, so a large share of calls are finished on the first visit.
My AC is frozen over. What should I do?
Turn the system off at the thermostat and let it thaw before you call. Ice means an airflow or refrigerant problem, and running a frozen system can take out the compressor and turn a repair into a replacement.
Is there an Air Mavericks tech near me?
Probably closer than you think. Our techs take their vans home and dispatch from where they live across Pinellas, Hillsborough and Manatee County, so the truck that comes to you is usually already in your part of Tampa Bay rather than driving out from one shop.
What areas do you cover?
Our trucks run out of Largo and cover Pinellas, Hillsborough and Manatee County, including St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Largo, Pinellas Park, Seminole, Tarpon Springs, Palm Harbor, Dunedin, Safety Harbor, Oldsmar, Tampa, Brandon, Riverview, Carrollwood and Bradenton.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Air Mavericks is a Florida Certified Air Conditioning Contractor, license CAC1820824, BBB accredited and family owned in Largo.
